Winter Short Track Series race #5, February 20, 2010, Charlotte, NC Finally - a dry race! The trail was a little soft in the morning from the overnight freeze, but dried rapidly. The trail was a little rough from the recent mud races, but very fast perhaps contributing to a few crashes with injuries. Best wishes for rapid healing to those injured! The turnout was huge. TEasily the largest turnout of all the races to date. Many final points positions were decided by the narrowest of margins in todays racing, including the overall team standings. The post-race series awards were held at series sponsor Frank's East Blvd Bar and Grille which was completely packed out. There were tons of raffles, and awards for the top 5 in all classes. Congrats to all award winners! |
