Winter Short Track Series race #3, February 7, 2010, Charlotte, NC Finally a race with minimal mud! After two very muddy races, Sunday turned out to be dry and reasonably warm for February. The trail was still slick in some spots but only one small spot had deep mud. The trail gnomes acted quickly and fixed the soft spot between races. Thanks guys! Sunday's course also featured a revised layout that cut-out the mud bog section by the ball fields and up to the concessions stands. The trail was re-routed to stay on the gravel road into the parking lot past the single track entry to a turn around and then back down to the single track entry. This provided a wide uphill run to the finish line for some great sprint finishes. I didn't get any pictures this week, but I saw Ron from Photoreflect taking pictures so he should have some on his site.
