NCCX Winter Cup race #2, Mooresville, NC January 10, 2010 Another brisk day greeted the riders for the 2nd race of the NCCX Winter Cup series as they made there inaugral trip to Stumpy Creek Park in Mooresville,NC. The course featured technical terrain, fast flowing sections on grass and gravel and a big stair climb. There were at least two dismounts - the stairs and a pair of barriers plus a short but very steep frozen climb that some chose to run. It was another well-run show as the NCCX racers have begun to expect. The Men's Pro/1/2 race turned into a two man break-away and a close finish to end the day. |
